Foley Represented Cobius Healthcare Solutions in Acquisition by MRO Corp.
March 10, 2021
A team of Foley attorneys led by Partner Adria Warren represented Cobius Healthcare Solutions, a leading provider of reimbursement and compliance risk management tools for hospitals, health care systems, and physicians, in its acquisition by MRO Corp. (MRO), a leading clinical data workflow platform and the KLAS-rated No. 1 provider of release of information (ROI) solutions. The merger enables the two market leaders to provide a more comprehensive and innovative line of software, services, and support for managing denials, payer audits, internal audits, and release of information. Solutions can be deployed across departments and various work groups to automate and streamline workflows, improve compliance, and provide comprehensive insights that improve financial performance.
Cobius Healthcare Solutions helps healthcare providers obtain appropriate reimbursement using advanced technologies that identify and capture revenue opportunities while mitigating associated risks and costs. Its complete payer audit and denial management solution helps providers recover payments that have been improperly denied, while its suite of internal audit tools helps uncover reimbursement problems and opportunities.
MRO empowers healthcare organizations with proven, enterprise-wide solutions for the secure, compliant, and efficient exchange of protected health information (PHI). In addition to ROI, MRO’s suite of PHI disclosure management solutions is comprised of government and commercial payer audit management and accounting of disclosures services and technologies.
Foley & Lardner’s team—which also included Clare Rager, John Palmer, Leigh Riley, Arthur Philips, and Ethan Lenz—acted as Cobius’ legal advisors during this transaction.
