Carrie Hoffman Discusses New Noncompete and Nonsoliciation Agreements

Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Carrie Hoffman is quoted in the Business Insurance article, “Laws barring noncompete clauses spreading,” discussing Colorado becoming the latest state to enact laws curbing noncompete and nonsolicitation agreements.
Hoffman discussed Colorado employers expressing frustration with the new law. “Nobody likes being told when they’re about to hire someone that that person does not make enough to be eligible for a noncompete,” she said.
While some are complaining that the law is vague, she added, “Employers at least know what they can and cannot agree to.”
