Foley Represents Mayville Engineering Company in Acquisition of Accu-Fab
Foley & Lardner LLP represented Mayville Engineering Company (MEC), a provider of design, prototyping, and manufacturing solutions, in its definitive agreement to acquire Accu-Fab, LLC (Accu-Fab) from Tide Rock for $140.5 million. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
Accu-Fab is a vertically integrated contract manufacturer offering metal fabrication and value-added services, including design, engineering, and specialized finishing. The company serves OEMs in the critical power infrastructure, data center, and renewable energy sectors and operates facilities in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Wheeling, Illinois.
The acquisition supports MEC’s strategic goal of expanding into high-growth adjacent end-markets, including those driven by multi-year infrastructure and energy investment trends. Accu-Fab’s complementary customer base and capabilities are expected to enhance MEC’s commercial reach and provide opportunities for revenue synergies and market share growth. The integration of Accu-Fab into MEC’s platform is also expected to generate operational efficiencies and cost savings through implementation of MEC’s MBX operating framework.
The Foley deal team was led by partner Bryan Schultz, with assistance from partners Heidi Furlong, Daniel Kaplan, Ethan Lenz, Gregory Neppl, Leigh Riley, Gary Rovner, Joseph Rupkey, and Timothy Voigtman, and associates Kameron Adams, Samantha Adams, Abby Buchanan, Tyler Dever, Richard Flannery, Jose Lazaro, and Marissa Lee, among others.
