Foley & Lardner LLP served as lenders’ legal counsel in connection with the $382 million debt financing for Sabanci Renewables’ two solar energy projects in Texas. The debt financing was provided by MUFG, NORD/LB, BBVA, and Intesa Sanpaolo.
The financing will support the development of the 156 MWdc Pepper Solar Power Plant in McLennan County and the 130 MWdc Lucky 7 Solar Power Plant in Hopkins County. Both projects, representing a combined capacity of 286 MWdc, are expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of the second half of 2027.
The deal was led by partners Annie Tsai and Darin Lowder, with corporate support from associates Jenny Gardner, Arantza Ceballos Rojas, and Cameron Saneii, and regulatory special counsel Olya Petukhova. Partners Jason Barglow (Real Estate) and Sarah Slack (Environmental) provided real estate and environmental support, with assistance from senior counsel Justus Britt (Real Estate) and associate Judah Lieblich (Environmental).
