The Wall Street Journal
Foley & Lardner LLP of counsel William Holtz was quoted in The Wall Street Journal’s article, “Businesses Are Taking Risks to Cash In on the Peptide Gold Rush,” examining the risks and regulatory challenges facing compounding pharmacies supplying peptides.
Holtz noted that compounding pharmacies are manufacturing previously restricted peptides “without explicit permission from FDA.”
He described the current regulatory landscape as a “delicate balance the federal government is trying to strike: navigating a regulatory process meant to keep consumers safe against the possibility that these experimental drugs could help people with certain conditions.”
