Tim Patterson serves as Vice Chair of Foley’s Sales & Distribution group, and he regularly represents Foley’s clients in complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts throughout the country.  Most recently, Tim has defended several prominent manufacturers and technology service providers in actions involving a wide range of contract, tort, and statutory claims, including claims related to the alleged misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of non-competes, and violations of state distribution laws and state and federal antitrust laws.

Tim also regularly counsels these same clients on properly and proactively managing their commercial relationships to avoid expensive and protracted litigation whenever possible.  In addition to his work at Foley, Tim spent time in 2020 serving as in-house counsel for a global medical device manufacturer’s equipment and services business units.  Tim brings the practical legal approach he developed while in house to all his litigation and counseling matters at Foley.
