Overview

Krista Cabrera is partner and a litigation attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP where she focuses her practice on employment litigation, counseling and training. As part of her litigation practice, Ms. Cabrera represents employers in discrimination, trade secret, wrongful termination, harassment, class action wage and hour matters, and other types of employment-related matters. She is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice.

Ms. Cabrera's counseling practice focuses on drafting agreements, litigation avoidance and the review and preparation of various employment related policies and procedures. She also trains managers and HR professionals regarding harassment, discrimination and retaliation avoidance.

Affiliations

Ms. Cabrera serves as a member of the San Diego Lawyers Club; is a former programs committee member for the San Diego chapter of the National Human Resources Association; is a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers; is a former barrister of the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court; and is a member of the San Diego Bar Association, Labor Law Section.

Recognition

Ms. Cabrera was selected in San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” (2014). In 2011 and 2012, she was also selected as a San Diego Top Attorney by the San Diego Daily Transcript.

Education

Ms. Cabrera received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law where she was elected to the Order of Coif and was also comments editor for the San Diego Law Review. She received her B.A. in political science from California State University, Chico.
