Foley Represents Rosewood Private Investments in Recapitalization of General Informatics
November 11, 2020
Foley & Lardner represented Dallas-based private equity firm, Rosewood Private Investments in its recapitalization of General Informatics.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based General Informatics is a full-service IT Managed Services Provider (“MSP”), cloud services business, and IT consultancy and has built a comprehensive suite of services to become one of the region’s leading IT partners to state and local governments, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and private businesses in the Southeast.
This recapitalization marks Rosewood Private Investment’s first investment in the IT services space and will serve as the platform for future organic and acquisitive growth. Industry trends and the current COVID-10 pandemic have made the industry sector more attractive to companies who need to provide flexible technologies. Growth in cybercrime and ransomware have underscored the need for a solid technology partner to help ensure that crucial company data is secure.
Rosewood Private Investments is the private equity arm of Dallas-based The Rosewood Corporation.
The Foley team was led by Dallas partner Chris Converse and included Partners Heidi Furlong and Michael Dubner; and Associates Kaitlyn Foley, Natalie Neals, Nicole Smith, Arthur Vorbrodt and Richard Zaleskie.
