Scott Ellis and Katherine Harrington Featured for Houston Community Leadership Awards
Foley & Lardner LLP partners Scott Ellis and Katherine Harrington are featured in Houston Business Journal for its inaugural Community Leadership Awards for fostering meaningful change in the community.
Ellis, recognized in the Inclusive Leadership category, shared insights on fostering inclusion in the workplace. “In my role as Houston managing partner for Foley, I emphasize the importance of open communication and actively seek input from diverse voices,” he explained. “One of my key strategies is to lead by example, demonstrating the value of inclusivity in every interaction and decision-making process.”
Harrington, recognized in the Community Impact category, said, “Community is my family, my friends, my colleagues, my neighbors and everyone who lives in the city of Houston that I am lucky to call home.” On fostering inclusion in the workplace, she explained how she values “genuinely getting to know every single person in my workplace” and is “constantly seeking feedback to implement ideas that foster an inclusive workplace for everyone.”
