Foley & Lardner Represents MultiCam in its Sale to Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today it served as legal counsel to MultiCam, Inc., a U.S. manufacturer and distributor of Computer Numerical Code (CNC) cutting machines and digital finishing processes, in its sale to Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS). Kongsberg PCS is a portfolio company under OpenGate Capital, a global private equity firm.
Rosewood Private Investments acquired MultiCam in 2014 to accelerate MultiCam’s organic growth and strategic acquisitions of complementary businesses. MultiCam has established itself as an international leader in the CNC cutting solutions industry with over 60 technology centers worldwide. The company has a long-standing tradition of product development, as well as various technologies for manufacturing, such as routing, digital finishing, knife, plasma, waterjet, and laser CNC cutting systems.
Kongsberg PCS is recognized as the leading provider of high-speed, precision cutting systems for packaging, signage and display purposes, and has operational facilities in Belgium, Czech Republic and Norway, serving markets in Europe, the Americas and Asia. The acquisition of MultiCam, including its operations in the U.S. and sales offices in Canada and Germany, expands Kongsberg PCS’ market reach and customer base across North America and Europe, and creates the world’s first diversified provider of CNC cutting machines.
The Foley team was led by partners Christopher Converse and Christopher Babcock and included partners Michael Donohue, Michael Dubner, Stephen Gilles, Gary Rovner and Jennifer Urban, senior counsel Steven Millendorf, and associates Anna Choi, Paige Papandrea and Richard Zaleskie.
